Fabienne Nackers started her career in academic research, focusing on mycobacterium ulcerans disease. Today, she devotes her scientific skills and knowledge in supporting humanitarian action for the benefit vulnerable populations living in difficult and remote settings. Her research interests cover a variety of health-related issues, including, but not limited to, infectious diseases, mental health, malnutrition and vaccination. As a general epidemiologist, she applies core epidemiologic principles in the planning, design, conduct and coordination of observational and intervention studies. Her research activities aim to contribute to enhance improve the access to quality health services and to build research capacities in resource limited countries.
